Gucci Mane’s First Week Sales Projections for “Everybody Looking”
Since he was released from prison earlier this year, all eyes have been on Gucci Mane and he immediately went to work to deliver and live up to the hype just like he always does. Gucci immediately hit the studio, recorded and released his latest album “Everybody Looking” on Friday July 22, which including a star-studded live album release party that was featured on Diddy’s television channel, Revolt TV.
With all of this attention and support from his peers what would Gucci’s first week album sales look like? Well they are in and for the first week they are pretty impressive. Hits Daily Double is projecting “Everybody Looking” will do 70-75K it’s first week in sales plus streaming. These numbers should land Big Guwop in second place behind Drake’s “Views”, which will be at number one for the 12th non-consecutive week.
Gucci’s first week numbers are very similar to what ScHoolBoy Q’s “Blankface LP” did earlier this month at 74K sold in the first week. Some might view the projection as a tad bit disappointing for Gucci, given all the hype, but, with the way that records sale in today’s climate most consider anything over 50K in the first week a strong debut.
Gucci’s biggest album opening to date will appear to remain 2009’s “The State vs. Radric Davis”, which did 89K first week, but again, these are only “projections” so until the final numbers are released we will not officially know. The album features a host of superstar names like Drake, Kanye West & Young Thug as well as production from heavy hitters Mike-Will-Made-It/Ear Drummerz & Zaytoven.
Be sure to purchase the album on iTunes or any other authorized music seller or stream it on Apple Music or Spotify. Check out the artwork for Gucci’s new project above, along with the music video to one of the singles off of the album “First Day Out Tha Feds”.
